My DIY Project about how save water for your garden...!!!

At this time when the water is the most important natural resource and we have the opportunity to save part of then, I decided show you how to become your backyard in a green place without use to much water for you hose. The solution is more easy than you can think about.

We are going to build a rain barrel and my compromise now is tell you how do it. First of all you need to find two (02) plastic 55 gallon drum with a cover then place the drum near a downspout, drill a hole in the side near the bottom and screw in a drain valve if you plan to run a soaker hose to your garden. Be careful about the support for the barrel because 55 gallon of water is around 440 lb weight.

Second you need to make a hole in the bottoms of base around 2 inches then screw in a 2 inches male threaded electrical (gray PVC) conduit adapter and squirt a thin bead of silicone caulk around the opening to prevent water dashboard. Then you need to make a second hole using the same process for discard the water when the level of it is high.

Finally you just need to make a hole in one of the covers and put a filter to prevent go inside some leaves and debris and start to wait the next rain to fill their new rain barrels.

I hope I have been able to show how to easily build a rain barrels in order to get water to keep your backyard evergreen without increasing water consumption in your home. In this way you can contribute to your economy and the environment in general. At this time I have to said good bye and I hop to see you again soon.
